I am an Assistant Professor (tt) of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen at the Department of Political Science. My research interest lies at the intersection between Political Sociology, Political Psychology, and Social Policy Research with a strong focus on the comparative perspective.

 

Before I moved to Denmark, I have held a position as postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bern. I completed my PhD at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern in November 2013. I was part of the EU research project CUPESSE Cultural Pathways to Economic Self-Sufficiency: Family Values and Youth Unemployment representing the University of Bern team.

 

Amongst others, my research has appeared in the European Political Science Review, Social Science Research, Political Studies, Journal of European Social Policy, Policy Studies Journal, and Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies.

My paper together with Karin Infold and Markus Freitag on the influence of the Big Five personality traits on egocentric network structures in now out as online first in Social Science Research.
